Accreditor Program Approvals

Executive Summary

You will need to review your accreditor’s requirements for changes, and there is support to help you with this process.

Understand Your Accreditor’s Change Requirements

Each accreditor is different, so it is important to refer to your accreditor’s requirements. If you are making changes that affect less than 25% of your program, a notification may not be required. If you are making changes that affect more than 25% of your program, you may need to go through your accreditor’s substantive change process.

There are ways to structure your apprenticeship-based degree program to reduce the likelihood of it requiring a substantive change, some of which are outlined here.
